Abstract
Electronic monitoring is one of the mechanisms developed in modern criminal policy، and it is one of the most important applications of scientific development in the field of applying the penalty، as the modern punitive policy in many countries has tended towards rationalizing and humanizing the punishment and searching for alternatives to penalties that deprive traditional freedom because of its disadvantages، and finding more humane and less costly penalties for the state and achieving the desired public and private deterrence from punishment، so electronic monitoring was one of the good alternatives to traditional punishments، as many countries adopted this system Because of its many advantages، the idea of this program is to implement the penalty of imprisonment outside the walls of prisons، i.e. in the free environment، while allowing him to practice his private life.
