Abstract
In spite of the importance of the diversity of tourist sites and their ability in tourist attractions, in order to obtain a sense of comfort, relaxation and enjoyment, but their importance may be weakened if not taken into account the planning levels in a manner appropriate to the topography and environment of the place, in Zakho district tourist sites suffer from the lack of planning in the development of the place level one.
This study revealed the existence of three levels of tourist sites according to the level of services and attraction power, but they all suffer from future plans for their development except for three sites developed by the Government of Master Plan in 2010 Mowaqah (Pra Dalal, Shiranch, Cave Beheri, and Chelan), but did not enter into implementation While the rest of the other sites suffer from the absence of planning and development of the place according to the terrain.
