In this study, we discussed the modern textual harmony and its importance in establishing the coherence and consistency of the text. They are: semantic relations, which are further subdivided into: linkage relations, dependence relations, and description relations, as well as the discourse's overall grand structure / subject of the discourse. What does synthesis and replacement mean, and how do these rules work? They work to reduce the text by deleting, canceling or replacing some details, returning the text to its structure and fundamental elements, and preserving the essential data that affect the texts’ sequence of events, as well as working on the harmony of the minor structures that make up the major structures, through linking between the elements and parts of the text, as well as the principle of prejudice, which is is one of the implacable tools that contribute and overcome to the consistency and harmony of the text. Thus, we have applied these relations to samples of the poetry by Syrian poet Ali Ahmed Saeed Esber, often known as “adounis” to help the recipient to reach (understand) the significance of the text.
