The aim of study was to determine the effect of Woods' strategywith  (PhET) technique in teaching the subject (Optics ) on Students achievement  of the physics department.
The research community consist of students of the second stage, because this subject is taught in this stage only. Their number reached )36( male and female students, and for the small number of them, they were all adopted as a sample for research, then divided them randomly into two groups with (18) male and female students in each group, and then verified their equivalence in the variables ( Intelligence, age. The educational level of the parents(. Group (A) was chosen randomly to be experimental and taught using the Woods strategywith technique (PhET ) and group (B) as a control group, taught in the usual way.
The researcher prepared an achievement selection consisting of (20) items of the type of objective choice, all of which are of the type (the test of multiple and with four alternatives), and verified the validity of the content for it by preparing a table of specifications to select a sample of the (70) behavioral objectives equitable according to levels (Bloom) the six classification, to represent the content of the research, and its apparent validity was verified through a survey of experts' opinions.
The statistical bag (SPSS ) was used to treat the results, using the statistical methods (Mann-Whitny), the Pearson correlation coefficient, and the equation for finding the coefficient of difficulty, the strength of the discriminant, and the effectiveness of the wrong alternatives.
The results showed the existence of statistically significant methods of achievement in favor of the experimental group that was studied using the Woods strategy with the technique of (PhET) and this means the effectiveness of the strategy with the technique of (PhET) in increasing students' achievement in the subjec (Optics) The researcher referred to a number of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions in the light of the research results.
