Abstract
Dialetical Atlas is a collection of languag maps that refer to the way of spreading particular language form in a particular geographical territory٫ this ponomenon is known as geographial dialectology. The dialectogist in this research tries to select some language froms and demonstrate the ( phonological٫ syntatica and lexical )differenses on maps of the specifed geographical territory and adjacent areas.
This research attempts to analyze the atlas of the phonological changes and the reserch is restricted to the phoholoical changes. The reserch is a descriptive/fieldbase study. lt followed the french perpective according to the general atlas pirnciple .IPA(the lnternational phoneyic Alphabet) has been used to describe the discriminations and similarties of the phonological changes on various maps and demostrated with specified symbols. The research consists of two parts: first part is theoritical, which in its turn composed of two chapters: ( first chapter is aconcise about kirkuk governorate , its districts and its juridical areas, also the various kirkukian dialects. The second chapter deals with the types of diactology ). The second part is a practical one, composses of analysing the phonological changes and demonstrating them on different maps in shape of words and symbols. Also an itroduction, results, and a summary in Arabic and English languages, lits of resources and appendex have been attached.
