Abstract

In recent years, a phenomenon has appeared that has pervaded the majority of people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and you rarely find a family or one of its members who did not participate in it, which is the sale by installments and the scourge pervaded it, and the diversity of this matter, as some of them buy home furniture, or a car, or a housing unit, or otherwise.
Perhaps the reason for the emergence of this phenomenon is the limited income of some, as it is easy for him to buy the goods he needs and pay for them in known installments over known deadlines, instead of paying for them all at once.
The purchasers’ intentions varied as well. Some of them buy the commodity because they desire it, and some of them buy it in order to sell it at a lower price and get its price. Likewise, some of them sell what they bought to their first seller, and some of them sell them in the market to someone other than their seller.
So there was confusion in these types and their rulings among people, and the question about the ruling on selling by installments in its various types in Islamic jurisprudence became one of the questions of many people, so this research came as an answer to those questions, hoping that it would be adequate to what was required, indicating the idea on which its foundation was built and justified its permissibility.
