Abstract

This research deals with the act of metaphor cognition of animals/ name which improve language comprehension in a better way than before. So it is the responsibility of researchers to show and explain the way of cognitive linguistics.    As we have tried to mention them in the clearest ways. The main aim of this research is an attempt to linguistic analysis and research in metaphor aspect, which it is an important tool of cognitive linguistic. The main point of this research is to focus on perceptual linguistics; the description-analysis method is used, the samples are taken from daily speech, to reach satisfactory outcomes, because the cognitive linguistic will change according to variant experience. Cognition is unshakeable base to research on metaphor, to ask on what the act metaphor cognition rely on, Because of the source domain and the target domain, we have seen our perception for the expressed,  In the frame of conceptual metaphor.
The research beside of an introduction and conclusion is consists of three sections:    the first one is about cognition. The first sub-section of this section is about the science of cognitive language. The second sub-section is on cognition structure or base and theories. The second section is about metaphor.  The first sub-section is about the major and minor meaning in metaphor. The second sub-section includes the cognitive metaphor. The third sub-section is about the tools (devices) of cognitive metaphor.  The final section is about metaphor cognition of animals ’name in Kurdish language in daily speeches and conversations. The first sub-section of this final section is on metaphorical using of animals’ name to covey bad and good meaning and messages. The second one does include metaphorical cognition of animals’ name via voices. The third one includes metaphorical cognition of animals’ name via appearances. The last one contains metaphorical cognition of animals’ name via behaviours.
