Abstract

This paper is entitled the semantics of why-words in Central Kurdish. In addition to the introduction, the paper consists of two parts. In the first part, the notion of generative semantics is discussed. In the second part, the meaning of questions is discussed in the framework of generative semantics. The types of lexical and non-lexical meaning will be discussed. The paper ends with the conclusion, the references, and the abstract in Arabic and English.
