Research on managing and preparing for the )COVID-19( pandemic has become increasingly important on a global and local level because of the serious implications it poses for citizens' lives and futures. As such, the problem and its study are topics that cannot be disregarded. Given this, the study's researchers sought to assess the Kurdistan Region of Iraq's experience in handling the )COVID-19( situation. They made an effort to comprehend the actions made by the pertinent regional government entities, particularly those involved in Garmian administration. The study also sought to evaluate these institutions' performance in reducing the losses brought about by the pandemic, with the goal of protecting the community's public health and guaranteeing the security of its healthcare system. Studying this area is also important since it contributes to a deeper knowledge of the crisis and how effective crisis management strategies are, both of which are important for averting future crises. Owing to the unexpected and time-sensitive nature of the )COVID-19( pandemic, it became essential to implement efficient management strategies, particularly following the failure of conventional and superficial approaches predicated on haphazard actions and ill-considered decisions. In order to accomplish the goal of the study, the researchers employed a descriptive-analytical technique and a survey instrument to gather the necessary data from the research community, which is made up of Garmian University faculty members. Out of the 422 faculty members that made up the entire sample, 105 people were included in the study. These individuals were drawn from all faculties at Garmian University, including the departments of civil engineering and law. The information was described by the researchers using statistical metrics such Cronbach's alpha, percentages, repetitions, means, standard deviations, and sample directions. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was then used for analysis. The study's recommendations and conclusions, which will be given at the end, are expected to enhance scientific competency, preparedness, and strategic planning for resolving any potential crises in the region in the future.
