Symbol is a phenomenon that plays an important role in poetry, especially in contemporary poetry....etc., to give the poem a new appearance It is an effective and complex process, depending on the mental state that is expressed, falls under various measures in order to create a specific symbol, in addition to presenting the poet's views and changing the relationship Its old relationships, building new relationships and abstracting the dots in order to change the direction of the symbol, and culture has a strong and ancient historical roots It has been a reflection of human life, which consists of many different genres, including stories, legends, etc. Poets have redefined it as a symbol in their poems and given it a new appearance Latif Halmat's poems are an attempt to identify the concept of symbol and symbolic path Cultural Symbols Scientifically, by practicing them in poetry, we have focused on Latif's poems as a deep sea full of various cultural symbols. In writing this study, historical, critical and practical analysis has been followed. The structure of our work consists of an introduction, two parts, conclusions, list of sources and a summary of the discussion in Arabic and English. Part first: Concepts and terms of symbols, origins of symbols and symbolic methods, symbols and obscurity, symbols and culture. Part second: The types of cultural symbols in Latif Halmat's poems are presented: including myths, culture, stories, proverbs, stories, folk songs.
