Metaphor is one of the most important topics that occupied the attention of thinkers، rhetoricians، critics، and philosophers، as it is an essential pillar embedded in the structure of our conceptual intellectual systems and is one of the main pillars on which discourse is based. The interactive theory of metaphor is based primarily on the sum of a person’s physical and environmental interactions with his surroundings. Just as metaphor includes all cultural، social and ideological practices، revealing it is a revelation of the depths of the human self. Based on this، we chose the poetic poem by the poet (Sherko bekas) (“Cemetery of Lanterns”)، in which we aimed to infer the hypothesis that metaphor works on the structure of our various ordinary daily speeches based on To our physical experiences، which are closely and directly linked to our contact with external elements، and the mechanisms that we relied on and adopted lie in the interactive experimental conception، that is، in the major metaphors mentioned by the author، and the attempt to uncover what stands behind them. In the first section، we touched on the nature of interactive theory. As for the second section، we devoted it to poetic discourse، after which we stop at the most important point of the metaphor models according to Lakoff and Johnson and their application to the poetic poem، with the results and sources mentioned
