Semiotics is the science of signs that studies linguistic and non-linguistic signs, evidence and symbols, and it is called (semiology) in Western criticism. It has an important role in analyzing texts and revealing meanings, as it goes beyond the operative to what is visual. There are many semiology trends and schools in the field of Western thought. The aim of the study of semiology and applied texts is to search for meaning and significance and extract the logical and semantic generating structure of the texts.
Semiotics seeks to break the form of words and sentences in order to obtain meaning. that The semiology of time, as part of the multidimensional and general aspects of semiology, always tries to break the boundaries of words and sentences related to time, to give a new meaning to texts that are dominated by time.
This research focuses on the temporal signs in the poems of (Muhammad Amin Karim Beg Al-Jaf), known as (Mina Jaf 1911-1965). For the purpose of diving into the inner meanings and defining the signifier and the signified in his poems, Therefore, the research includes two main chapters. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical aspects and discusses the concept and definition of semiotics, the semiotics of time and time, and the history of the emergence of semiotics. As for the second chapter, it was devoted to temporal signs in the poet's poems, followed by the most important results, then a list of sources and references, and a summary of the research in both Arabic and English.
