The Garmian region is one of the Kurdish regions that attracted the admiration of Arab and Muslim travelers. This is the region that I wrote a lot about, especially about many aspects of the region’s public and living life. Their information was useful and important, because it was written by people who visited the region, stayed in it, interacted with its people, or passed through it.
From here, in order to access a lot of information about the region, and to serve the Fourth International Scientific Conference of Garmian University, about their region, we wrote this research in two sections. In the first section, we touched the geographical location of the Garmian region and the writings of those Arab and Muslim travelers in the Middle Ages about the most important cities and important sites in the region. In the second section, we explained many aspects of administrative, religious, economic, social life, education, and other aspects in the region and in the Middle Ages. We concluded our research with several results reached by the researcher, with reference to the most important sources and references used in the research, and may God grant us success.
