Kifri is the center town of Kifri District where is the ancient district of Garmyan administration in Kurdistan region. Astronomically, Kifri is located between latitudes (34°:41':2") and (34°:42':42") north and longitudes (44°:55':8"), (44°:58':2") east. The area of the study reaches 7.5 km² .The purse of this study is to know how ground water is suitable for human consumption, especially for drinking. This leads to evaluate quality of ground water in the area .This evaluation has compared with Iraqi standard and global standard in order to know the suitability of water for different uses. Geological components of the area considered as the main factor for determining the quality of ground water of the area. The 100% of Kifri residents use ground water for every thing.so we analyzed all those wells that are special to distribute water to homes. They are (37) wells. As a result of analytical tests, we gained 2 physical elements 10 chemical elements and 3 bacteriological elements. Finally we come to the conclusion that the water of all wells is not suitable for drinking but it is suitable for animals. According to the (PH)and (CL),The water of all wells are suitable for industrial use. The water of all wells is suitable for construction.
