      The crime of Anfal is one of the most horrific crimes committed against the Kurdish people in Iraq in the late 20th century. It was implemented in eight phases and six different regions in a specific and planned program. It began on February 23, 1988 and ended on September 6, 1988. All forms of genocide were practiced. One of the most devastating phases of the Anfal campaign in which chemical weapons were used was Anfal II in the Karadag region. Three days after the completion of the Anfal I (on March 22, 1988), the Iraqi army launched attacks on the areas of Anfal II, which is widely involved in the district of Karadag, south of Bazian district, several villages in eastern Sangao district, and west of central Darbandixan. The Iraqi government attacked the Karadag area with a huge army from several directions. In addition to using chemical weapons, more than 80 villages were devastated by the attack.This study is divided into two main themes and presents the general aspects of the Anfal II campaign academically.
