Abstract

After the victory of the Iranian People's Revolution in 1979, the door to political participation was opened for political parties, including the Tudeh Party  and religious movements, but were soon banned not only from political participation but also in Iran, and many of their leaders were arrested, killed and displaced outside Iran.  This study presents the role of the Tudeh Party in Iran in three themes with a historical-descriptive method. The first theme summarizes the history of the Tudeh Party until 1979. The second theme focuses on the Tudeh Party during the interim government of Mahdi Bazargan  The final section is devoted to the role of the Tudeh Party (1980-1983).At the end we have reached some conclusions and they have been shown in brief.
