Abstract

Current geomorphological studies focus on its applied aspects, because of the tremendous developments in its technology, which is represented in the statistical analysis and interpretation of visual space, and building data models and rules by the systems of geographic information technologies. The Importance of the geomorphological studies has increased recently, Where they succeeded in shedding lights on the study and analysis of the earth's surface slopes, as it is a preliminary step to the researchers to provide an information base utilized in various disciplines such as engineering or construction, and through the study of the nature of the slopes, you can spell danger geomorphological zones, and install them on urban and regional planning maps, and land uses.
A morphological study conducted on the slopes of Goezha series mountains which has an area of (273.91) km 2, and by using visual space-geological and topographical maps, in addition to the field study, where geological formations effects and climate elements and soil were observed, in stimulating the geomorphological operations, and then their impact on the appearance and changing the degree and shape of the slopes. The study relied on the classification of (weight) to calculate the gradient and shape of the slope, which consists of five categories of the rate of decline and forms, the study showed the superiority of the Lands with steep rate (16-29.9), namely the high land hills and mountains and the shape of the slope is irregular and followed by undulating areas, where these rates has a clear and significant impact in the process of lands use by the competent authorities, especially the engineering and agricultural activities.
