Accordingly, we decided in this research to rely on spatial analyses of data and their application in the tourism field through the designation of all tourist areas in Iraqi Kurdistan region depending on geographic information systems data, which is at the core of the research work in spatial analyses. All tourist phenomena in spatial analysis have a spatial space and a specific distribution and spread, and the goal of this type of analysis is to find relationships and link between the constituent elements of the phenomenon to reach building a spatial model for spatial phenomena.
The importance of research in the field of benefiting from the applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies in the tourism sector because it is the best program that collects, organizes, analyses, displays and coordinates this information on its magnitude in a system that allows its recall with ease and acceptable speed, and we find that it has become An essential tool applied in the analysis and as a presentation on tourist and archaeological sites and other resources in the form of geographical maps that contribute to providing all information and data that support tourism planning.
