Abstract

Abstract
Shahrazur as other region has been rolled for the raise and development of the ancient civilization in northern Mesopotamia. The research of the arts of the pottery in this region, has scientific importance for the researchers, specialists and archaeologists. The Mitanni pottery considers as the beautiful pottery in the civilization of Mesopotamia. Shahrazur was a big geographical part of the Mitanni kingdom and helped its force to spread its power on the other kingdoms regions. The authors have been focused on the Mitanni arts in the Shahrazur plain. This paper has analyzed some important scientific topics on the arts of pottery. The authors have analyzed the potteries which have been found before in the region and they have comparison with other Mitanni pottery in the other region of northern Mesopotamia in particular the Iraqi-Kurdistan. In addition, the authors have taken a statistic study about the Mitannian pottery in the Shahrazur plain. The Mitannian pottery is consider one of the attractive and important pottery in Mesopotamia and has influence on the pottery of succeeded periods.
