Abstract
The salary cuts of employees and teachers at Universities in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region were one of the severe crises imposed on the public, which has had wide ramifications on the entire social classes. The issue of salary arrears provoked sharp reactions and major controversies, therefore, a detailed scientific study on the subject has become an overwhelming necessity for explaining its dimensions adequately. The present study has been an open research. The current scientific minutely examined the ambiguity of Facebook's role in introducing salary cuts. Additionally, the ultimate objective of the present research is the study shed light on the role that NRT's channel played on Facebook in introducing the dilemma of salary cuts and explaining its dimensions to the Kurdistan Region's community. Among the most important findings, the NRT Facebook page devoted some of its activities to the issue of salary arrears, and NRT also published some detailed information about the concept of salary arrears.
The present study consists of three parts as a whole. The first part serves as a public gateway to fully clarify the historical growth of Facebook stage by stage and its characteristics. In addition, Facebook's roles and its positive and negative aspects have also been discussed thoroughly as a crucial and widespread social media network. The second part of the study is designed to discuss the subject of salary cuts in detail. The second and the final sections of the study focused on the field research, in which the data and results obtained through a survey. Ultimately, the findings and recommendations are presented at the end of the study.
