Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of NHT strategy in the achievement of third stage students of the kindergarten department in the subject teaching methods and their tendency towards it. The research sample consisted (60) female students of third stage of the Kindergarten Department, College of Basic Education at Garmian University, for the academic year (2019-2020). The researcher randomly chose the two research groups to be one experimental and the other control, The equivalence was made for some variables:(chronological age in months, average grades in the previous year, mental ability, the educational level of the parents. The research tool was represented by the achievement test and the scale of tendency towards the subject of, teaching methods. At the end of the examination, and using the appropriate statistical methods for research, the results shown that the students of the experimental group taught according to NHT strategy outperformed the control group that taught the same subject according to the tradition method in achievement and tendency towards the subject teaching methods. In the light of the results, several conclude were conclusions:(The researcher also recommended some recommendation and suggestion, such as:(The necessity of using the NHT strategy in teaching Methods subject because it has a significant impact on increasing students' achievement and motivating them towards it in the Kindergarten Department. As well as adopting the use of the numbered heads strategy in teaching the subject of teaching methods in other scientific departments and all academic levels, because, according to what the researcher believes, it is an applied lesson for other subjects). The researcher suggested some suggestions, such as conducting a study to find out the effect of using other strategies for effective teaching in teaching methods subject
