Abstract
Northern Kurdistan is part of Greater Kurdistan, located in Republic of Turkey. It consists of (23) provinces out of (81) provinces throughout Turkey. The total size of the population of selected area for the year 2019 are about (16584674) people which constitutes (19.93%) of the total population in Turkey, which is (83154997) people. They are distributed geographically differently over an area of (261414) km2. The ratio reaches to the total area of Turkey is (33.63%). In addition to Kurdish nationality, other nationalities such as Arab and Turkish, settle in some Kurdish provinces especially the large ones, such as (Raha (Urfa or Shanti Orfa) and Antep ( or Ghazi Antap). The study area is classified into four groups in terms of population density. The population growth of Turkey's total for the period (2017-2018) recorded an increase of 1.47%, while it became (1.39%) for the period 2018 – 2019.
