Four pedons were selected along Sirwan River and describedmorphologically. Soil samples were taken from each soil horizon to determine somephysical and chemical properties. The results showed that all pedons are developed withA-B-C horizon sequences. All pedons have a Mollic epipedons with Agrillic and Calcicendopedons. The The increase of fine and total clay are due to the activity of Eluviationand illuviation pedogenic processes and to some extent to the new formation of clayminerals. According to the morphological, physical and chemical properties of thestudied pedons, soils were classified as Typic Argixerolls as they have Mollic surfacehorizons with more than 50% base saturation for more than 175 cm depth. They haveArgillic and Calcic subsurface horizons. The results indicated that the dominantpedogenic processes affecting soil development are eluviation, illuviation,decalcification and calcification.}, keywords_ku = {Soil,Soil Genesis,Soil Classification}, url = {https://jgu.garmian.edu.krd/article_67226.html}, eprint = {https://jgu.garmian.edu.krd/article_67226_ed78374c5ca1e1555d83a1012c6244c0.pdf} }
