- Character is a one of the outstanding and significant component of the novel genre . It is a primary element and has a remarkable role in the construction of novel and this is because via characters the readers learn of the changes and chain of events in novel.
- It could be fair to say that without the existence of character novel cannot be constructed, therefore it is outright and correct to say that place, time and etc., work together to exhibit the personality of character.
- In the Kurdish New-criticism this subject has been importantly considered but it has been given less importance in comparative studies and a small amount of researches have been made in this respect and for this specific reason, we have made concerted efforts to shed light upon and pay deserving attention at this subject in this research.
- Due to this, the construction of character in the story of "White Dove" by Firat Jawari and the novel "Owl" by Sadiqy Hidayati became the title of our research. In this research, we have benefitted from the analytical description and comparative methods.
-This research consists of two sections. In the first section, term, concept, definition, and importance of character have been clarified and in the second section, we have exhibited and clarified the practice of the comparisons.
